🌍 African stars in the Premier League: Iheanacho, Leshabela & Mendy all enjoy milestone moments

Some of Africa's finest footballers call the English Premier League home.

Here's a short wrap of the best performances by the continent's stars in England's top-flight over the past weekend.

🦅 Kelechi's soaring

Leicester's Super Eagles striker Kelechi "Seniorman" Iheanacho has been enjoying more first-team opportunities this season and he's making the most of them. A hat-trick against Sheffield United continues a brilliant month for 24-year-old Iheanacho, who also scored at Brighton and Burnley earlier in March. That's five goals in his last three EPL outings for the clinical Nigerian.

Impressively, Kelechi's treble means that the last three Premier League hat-tricks have all been scored by African players.

🇿🇦 Another Bafana star is born

21-year-old Thakgalo Lehsabela has had to wait patiently for his Leicester & Premier League debut but that moment finally arrived on Sunday. The South African attacking midfielder was introduced off the bench in the Foxes' 5-0 thumping of Sheffield United, a result that temporarily sent them second on the Premier League log.

🧱 The great wall of Senegal stands firm

Chelsea's defensive makeover under Thomas Tuchel has been a mighty impressive one, with the Blues conceding just twice in ten Premier League matches under the German's tutelage, with their latest shutout coming in a 0-0 draw at Leeds on Saturday.

Amazingly, Senegalese keeper Édouard Mendy now has more clean sheets (19) for the club in all competitions than he has conceded goals (18).

There will be plenty of African interest in the final match of the round when Wolves take on Liverpool at Molineux this evening.
