Real Sociedad manager Xabi Alonso has been cleared of tax offenses.
As reported by El Mundo, Alonso, his tax advisor Ivan Zaldua and advisor Ignasi Maestre have been cleared of tax offenses for the second time by the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid.
In 2019 November, the former Real Madrid ace was cleared of charges of defrauding the state to a grand total of €572,008 by the Madrid courts of Plaza de Castilla but the case had since been reopened.
Prosecutors revealed in January they had new evidence with Alonso the only footballer who refused to agree to a sentence and fine with the Spanish Treasury in the Hacienda tax operation.
Alonso, who attended the trials rusked being sentenced to more than eight, and now section 30 of the Provincial Court of Madrid has now decided to acquit them of the charges.
