English Premier League giants Manchester United have fully backed the Premier League’s plea to the UK government to welcome back supporters to stadiums.
The Premier League letter to the state explained the safety measures needed to adhere to Covid-19 risks.
United have since released a statement, signed by the club’s Chief of Operations, Collette Roche, to encourage the request.
“Manchester United fully endorses the open letter signed by a range of sports governing bodies, including the Premier League.
“We support the ongoing work of the Premier League and DCMS to deliver a timetable and a framework for the safe return of our fans.
“We have worked closely with the Premier League as they negotiate the challenges, consult with medical experts and review the different options open to them.”
Meanwhile, United visit Tottenham Hotspur for a league game on Sunday.
