Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong speaks out on his future

Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong says he will not rush to make a decision over his future as he is focused on his loan stay with Club Brugge.

Chong joined Belgian club Club Brugge in the second half of the season following a disappointing stint with Werder Bremen that saw his stay brought to an end in January. Tahith impressed on his debut, grabbing a goal, and has so far provided three assists in six Jupiler Pro League appearances.

The 21-year-old's contract with the Red Devils is set to expire at the end of next season and the club may decide to cash in on youngsters with summer if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not view him as part of his future plans.

The Dutch international is in no hurry to make any decision as he says he is focusing purely on the task at hand with his loan side.

"I look at it step by step," said the winger.

"If I start thinking about where I want to be next year, I wouldn’t be focused on Anderlecht next Sunday. I can only do my utmost. And enjoy the game. I always try to play football with a smile."

"My focus is now on the two remaining matches and the play-offs. You will have to prove yourself there anyway. (If I could choose) then I would go home and discuss it with my mum and dad. Then I’ll listen to the pluses and minuses. Then we’ll work it out as a family."
