David Luiz set to be denied new deal by Arsenal

David Luiz's future at Arsenal seems to be heading into a bleak future after it emerged that the club isn’t willing to extend his stay.

The Brazilian has been part of the team for the past two seasons after joining them from Chelsea and despite being one of the most trusted players under coach Mikel Arteta, he is set to leave the side in the summer with the club worried about his consistent injuries.

Football London reports that Arsenal wants to ship the player out as they feel they have a lot of options at center back who could be better replacements for the Brazilian. In the position, the North Londo side has Gabriel Magalhaes, Pablo Mari, and Rob Holding.

They also have the duo of Konstantinos Mavropanos and William Saliba out on loan who are doing well for their respective clubs.

The report claims that the Brazilian has done well for the club, but they are looking forward to building their team without him in the picture.

There have been previous reports that the club was willing to let go of the Brazilian at the start of this season but he was saved by Arteta who believed that the player’s leadership skills were important for the team he was building.
