The injury that forced Kevin De Bruyne off during Manchester City's FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea on Saturday "doesn't look good," according to Pep Guardiola.
City's hopes of winning the quadruple were dashed at Wembley, where Hakim Ziyech's goal secured Chelsea a 1-0 victory and a place in the final next month.
Guardiola's team was far from their best, and they were not aided by De Bruyne's injury early in the second half, which seemed to be an ankle issue.
“I don’t know,” Guardiola said when asked about the Belgian’s problem after the game.
“It doesn’t look good. He has pain.”
De Bruyne's absence, even if only for a short time, would be a big setback for City's expectations of finishing the season with a treble.
