Portuguese giants FC Porto, have distanced themselves from the under-fire UEFA Super League.
Porto were one of the invited clubs that are yet to respond since the likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and top six English clubs agreed to join on Sunday night.
“As the Portuguese Football Federation is against this, and as part of UEFA, we cannot participate in anything that is against the principles and rules of the European Union and UEFA,” Porto president Pinto da Costa confirmed in a statement.
