English Premier League side Arsenal has joined Leicester City for the race of 19-year-old Empoli midfielder Samuele Ricci.
The midfielder has been one of the most outstanding players in Serie B this season and it is believed that his club is already preparing for life without him as they expect him to move in the summer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, both Arsenal and Leicester City have opened talks over this potential signing, and are exploring if it will be possible due to new restrictions brought in by Brexit.
While Arsenal might have the money and prestige to lure the midfielder, Leicester hopes that a Champions League slot will give them an edge of the North London side with the Brendan Rodgers side currently placed third in the Premier League log.
Arsenal has had a lot of success in blooding young players over the years, while Leicester has also been shrewd when it comes to identifying lesser-known talents on the cheap.
Apart from the Premier League duo, Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are said to be the other teams interested in the player.
