AC Milan wants to sign Chelsea defender Tomori on a permanent deal

Italian giants AC Milan wants to turn Fikayo Tomori’s loan deal into a permanent one.

Tomori joined Milan in January on a season-long loan but there is a feeling among the Milan hierarchy that the England international has done well to guarantee him a permeant deal from Chelsea.

The only impediment in the deal is the presence of club captain Alessio Romagnoli who plays the same role but according to the latest reports from Gazzetta dello Sport’s via Sport Witness, the team is ready to pull the plug and let go of their captain.

26-year-old Romagnoli is yet to sign a new deal with Milan despite his current contract expiring in 2022; the player said to be demanding more wages.  It is reported that he earns €3.5 per year, but Milan has capped their budget at €4m something Romagnoli’s agent, Mino Raiola, has refused to accept.

The captain had been out with an injury with Tomori giving out a solid performance in his absence where the Chelsea man has formed a solid partnership with Simon Kjaer.

The reports claim that head coach Stefano Piolo prefers Tomori and Milan is prioritizing to get Tomori who has a €28m loan buy out on his Milan deal.
