Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are interested in having midfielder Philippe Coutinho back at the club.
Coutinho was on loan at Bayern last season from Barcelona and has rarely played this season under Ronald Koeman due to a torn meniscus he suffered in December.
Tz via Bavarian Football now reports that wants to bring the 28-year-old back into the side due to his experience at the club in addition to his ability to play both in the midfield and on the wing.
During his time in Germany, Coutinho helped the club to a treble contributing 11 goals and nine assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
While Bayern would want the player back at the club on another loan deal, Barcelona wants to ship the 28-year-old on a permanent deal. Barcelona feels that they need to recoup a section of the €140m they paid to Liverpool for the Brazilian services back in 2018.
Bayern is however aware of the wages the player demands as he is said to be earning around €200,000 to €300,000 per week something they are not willing to part with.
Apart from Bayern, Coutinho has recently been linked with a move to the Premier League with Everton said to be interested in his services.
