🇬🇦 Aubameyang admits to dying while patient

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emmerick Aubameyang, has confirmed he was not at all patiently waiting to be back on the grass.

The Gabonese striker was forced out of the team for several weeks due to illness, before the long return last weekend against Newcastle.

Starting up front, the 31-year-old needed 66 minutes to grab Arsenal’s second goal to seal a 2-0 victory after, Mohamed Elneny’s early opener after two minutes.

"At the end for the last five minutes I was dying a little bit. But to tell the truth, I felt good the whole game so I was really happy with that,” Aubameyang said via Goal.

"I have to say that the doctors did incredible work with me, bringing me to the hospital and stuff like that. I'm really thankful for them.

On scoring on the first day of coming back, ‘Auba’ said:

"I have to say, when you are out for a few weeks you realise how good it is to be back on the pitch.

"I was really happy to be back first and scoring a goal,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are preparing for the visit of Villarreal for the Europa League second leg battle, with the Spaniards carrying a 2-1 lead from the first leg.
