The English Premier League, together with its 20 clubs, have ended the silent protest against online abuse on social media.
As reported here on Futaa last week, the league took entire weekend of silence across all platforms, before announcing a return this morning.
Additionally, the return online is accompanied by a stern message to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The football world united across the weekend in boycotting social media, challenging platforms to do more to stop online discriminatory abuse.— Premier League (@premierleague) May 4, 2021
We now invite these companies to respond to our silence with action.#NoRoomForRacism | #StopOnlineAbuse pic.twitter.com/EYQNllC7P4
