Injury boost for Liverpool as Henderson resumes training

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed midfielder Jordan Henderson has resumed training ahead of the Southampton clash.

Henderson has been on the sidelines since sustaining a groin injury in February. Speaking to the media ahead of the weekend Premier League game, Klopp has revealed the club's captain is now running outside.

"While we are sitting here, Hendo is running outside, that's what I can say, nothing else," Klopp revealed.

"He was not in team training yet and that's it pretty much."

Regarding other players, Klopp revealed he will have the same squad he could have used against Manchester United last Sunday and expected his line-up to be dictated by the status of minor knocks.

"The injury situation, nothing really new, we have a few bumps and bruises. We have to make late decisions on a few positions until tomorrow."

Defender Nathaniel Phillips was set to end a two-game absence at Old Trafford having been named in the starting XI prior to the match getting called off.
