With an impressive win over Champions League-chasing Leicester City, Newcastle moved to within one point of Premier League secure.
The Magpies raced to a 4-0 lead thanks to Joe Willock, Paul Dummett, and a brace from Callum Wilson, while Marc Albrighton and Kelechi Iheanacho kept the scoreline in check.
Newcastle are now 12 points clear of the relegation zone as a result of the win.
They can still be relegated mathematically, but they will have to lose all three of their remaining games, while Fulham will have to win their remaining four to do so.
It also hurts Leicester's chances of qualifying for the Champions League, as they allowed Chelsea, West Ham, Tottenham, and Liverpool to close the gap on them.
The remainder of their Premier League schedule does not look promising, with the Foxes facing Manchester United, Chelsea, and Spurs in their final three games of the season.
