Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, has suggested that the club’s first priorities will be the existing players.
Following the painful exit out of the Europa League semi-finals and missing out on a UEFA Champions League place next season, Arsenal are expected to have a squad overall to better compete with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Speaking to the media ahead of the big battle against the fearsome Chelsea on Wednesday, Arteta was asked to share the ideas for recruitment come June 30.
“There are so many things to do because we already have a lot of players on loan and a lot of players with contracts still that we need to sort,” Arteta said via Arsenal’s website.
“It will depend what happens with a lot of those players and what we are able to recruit to improve the team, that is going to determine where we are,” he added.
