Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has openly demanded more signings in order to challenge Manchester City.
With three games left for the season, the Red Devils are likely to finish second behind their bitter rival champions for the 2020/21 season.
While United delighted with the bright talents of men like Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, manager Ole believes he needs more quality to match the magnificent talent at Man City’s training ground.
"If you want to take up the challenge with them we need to strengthen our squad," Solskjaer told BT Sport, as cited by Goal.
"Congratulations to them. They have had a fantastic season. I am very pleased with my boys that have made it to the last 10 days with a Manchester City side ahead of us that are lauded as the best in Europe.
"We want to take the next step and it might be that we need a couple more to strengthen the squad,” the Norwegian concluded.
Meanwhile, United are linked with some rather massive fish like Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jack Grealish.
