🦁 What we learned in the EPL this weekend: Carson, Alisson & Jebbison

Another dramatic weekend in the world's most popular domestic league has come and gone.

Goalkeepers deserve their time in the limelight and this weekend, Scott Carson and Alisson Becker were afforded that privilege.

👴 Newcastle 3-4 Man City

Man City's Scott Carson made his first Premier League appearance since May 2011 for West Brom, a gap of nine years and 357 days. It is the sixth-longest gap between appearances in Premier League history and the longest ever for a goalkeeper.

🎯 Burnley 0-4 Leeds

Leeds have scored 13 goals from outside the box in the PL this season, more than any other side.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Southampton 3-1 Fulham

Che Adams' nine EPL goals this season are the most by a Scottish player since Steven Fletcher's 11 in 2012-13.

😔 Brighton 1-1 West Ham

West Ham has faced Brighton more often without winning (eight times) than they have any other opponent in the Premier League (D5 L3).

🌟 Crystal Palace 3-2 Aston Villa

At 21 years and 257 days old, Tyrick Mitchell became the youngest Crystal Palace Premier League goalscorer since Clinton Morrison in 1998, and the youngest to get a goal and an assist in an EPL match for the club since George Ndah in 1995 against Leicester (20y 22d).

🇩🇰 Tottenham 2-0 Wolves

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg both scored and assisted in a Premier League match for the first time, in what was his 145th appearance in the competition. He’s the third Dane to score and assist in an EPL match for Spurs after Christian Eriksen (nine times) and Allan Nielsen.

🧤 West Brom 1-2 Liverpool

Since Liverpool was founded in 1892, Alisson is the first goalkeeper ever to score a competitive goal for the club.

☄️ Everton 0-1 Sheffield United

Aged 17 years and 309 days, Jebbison is the youngest player to score on his first Premier League start, overtaking  Danny Cadamarteri's record set for Everton against Barnsley in September 1997 when he was 17 years and 343 days.

What a weekend, and there are midweek fixtures to prepare for on Tuesday night, before the final chapter of the 2020-21 Premier League season this Sunday.
