N'Golo Kante's fitness has been a source of concern for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
The midfielder from France was forced to withdraw from Chelsea's vital match against Leicester City on Tuesday.
Tuchel, however, insisted the decision not to play Kante was precautionary after his side triumphed 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
"N'Golo is not injured," Tuchel said. "He went out before the injury. He said he would get injured if he continued to play.
"We put out Kova that was a risk but it was the moment to take risk as it was a game of highest importance. I am happy it worked out. Hopefully, NG will come back as we are a different team with him."
Chelsea and France are both relieved by the news.
Kante will be an automatic starter in the Champions League final on May 26 and will surely play a key role in France's Euro2020 campaign.
