📊 2020/21 Europa League in numbers: Key stats

The curtains came down on the 2020/21 Europa League with Villarreal beating Manchester United in an extraordinary penalty shootout at the Gdansk Stadium on Wednesday night.

Gerrard Moreno gave the Spaniards the lead in the 29th minute, but Edinson Cavani canceled it in the second half to force the match into extra time and eventually, a shootout.

The Spanish striker also won the top scorers' award thanks to his seven goals, with his five assists putting him ahead of three other players who had a similar number of goals.

So which other numbers can we pick from the just-concluded season?
