Brazil and Leeds United winger Raphina has been backed to make a move to Liverpool in the summer.
Raphina was a key player for Leeds in their return to the Premier League with his display having attracted the attention of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Now ex-Sunderland forward Kevin Phillips has tipped the player to move to Anfield in the summer as the opportunity to play under Jurgen Klopp might prove too juicy to turn down.
“100% he would, no disrespect to Leeds but why would he not join Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp? He will jump at it. I was very surprised when Diogo Jota went to Liverpool but when you get an opportunity to join Liverpool you do it, so I’m sure he is flattered being linked.
“If there is half a chance in the summer I would imagine the player would push for it,” Phillips said in an interview with Football Insider.
The importance of the player for the Marcelo Bielsa side can be seen in his performance last season where the 24-year-old has participated in 30 league matches netting six goals and grabbing nine assists in the process.
While he might not be guaranteed a starting place in the team, he would be a good squad player and would definitely find chances now that Liverpool wants to do away with players like Divock origin and Xherdan Shaqiri.
