European champions Chelsea have announced Thomas Tuchel will be at the club for at least four more years.
The German arrived in London towards the final quarter of last season after signing a somewhat awkward 18-month contract, where an extension was depended on finishing in the Premier League top four to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
The former PSG boss went on to meet the top four mandate, but not many were able to foresee Tuchel going on to win the UEFA Champions League.
In what is an extra reward, the club and Tuchel have signed a four-year deal extension until 2024.
"I cannot imagine a better occasion for a contract renewal. I am grateful for the experience and very happy to stay part of the Chelsea family," Tuchel said.
"There is far more to come and we are looking forward to our next steps with ambition and much anticipation," he added.
