The 2021/22 English Premier League season is a long way off, with the EURO 2020 being the immediate business at hand. 

Plans though are ongoing in preparation for the season ahead, with the Premier League officially welcoming Norwich, Brentford, and Watford, who were all promoted. 

Which are some of the key dates ahead of the start of the new campaign?

📝 When will the fixtures be released?

City’s fixture list for the new Premier League season will be revealed on Wednesday 16 June at 09:00 BST.

🏬 When does the transfer window open?

The transfer window officially opened on 9 June and will remain active for the next 12 weeks, until 31 August 2021. 

⚽ When is the first game?

The new season kicks off on 14, August, a week after Man City lock horns with Leicester City in the FA Community Shield. 

🔚 When does the season finish?

The season is set to conclude on Sunday 22 May 2022.

📅 Confirmed international breaks

In Europe, the semi-finals of the Nations League between Italy and Spain, Belgium and France are set to kick-off on Wednesday 6 October and Thursday 7 October respectively, with the final taking place on Sunday 10 October.

The delayed Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Cameroon from 9 January until 6 February.

In South America, World Cup qualifiers are scheduled for 27 January - 1 February and 24 March - 29 March.
