2021/22 UEFA Champions League: All you need to know

The 2021/22 UEFA Champions League preliminary round draw took place on 8 June.

This means the journey to yet another Champions League season has kicked off. 

So, what do we know so far, including the venue for the final match. 

The 32 teams in the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League group stage consist of 26 automatic qualifiers joined by six play-off winners.

How does qualifying work?

This year's qualifying campaign will see a return of the home and away format after it was abandoned last year due to the late finish of the previous season which was occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.
