Kieffer Moore won Wales a critical point in their Euro 2020 opener against Switzerland, heading home with 16 minutes remaining in a 1-1 draw.
After falling behind to Breel Embolo's header early in the second half, Wales appeared to be in trouble. Danny Ward's save to turn a goalbound shot over for a corner had eluded the Swiss attacker minutes before, but Embolo held off his opponent to head home from the resulting set-piece.
Moore drew Wales equal with a superb-headed finish after a well-worked short corner.
With five minutes remaining, Mario Gavranovic appeared to have snuck home a winner for the Swiss, but a VAR assessment ruled it out for offside.
Ward also made a number of crucial saves, and Wales had to deal with a slew of late corners.
The result puts the teams tied for second place in Group A, behind Italy, who defeated Turkey 3-0 in the opening game on Friday. Wales' next encounter, also in Baku, is against Turkey on Wednesday.
