Antonio Conte could be on his way back to the Premier League after it emerged that Everton is interested in luring him to Goodison Park.
While the team has been in talks with former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo in the last few days, Football Insider reports that they are yet to reach a full agreement with the Portuguese manager and are already looking for options.
The next option has been Conte who has previously been linked with Tottenham with the Italian currently out of work after leaving Inter Milan last month. Conte reportedly held talks with Tottenham Hotspur but the two parties could not come to an agreement.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has been ambitious in the transfer market since taking over and believes that hiring a top coach would help the club achieve their dreams of playing in the Champions League next season and see Conte, who won the Premier League with Chelsea, as a perfect manager to help them move to the next level.
Apart from the Premier League, Conte helped Inter Milan win the Scudetto this past season after 11 years and he has a proven track record of winning trophies throughout his career.
The club is currently looking for a manager to replace Carlo Ancelotti who surprisingly left them for Real Madrid.
