Aston Villa have seen their bid for midfielder Emile Smith Rowe rejected by Arsenal.
After securing the services of Emi Buendia, Villa are still chasing new faces and have set their eyes on Arsenal midfielder Smith Rowe.
However, Arsenal have rejected a bid of around £25million from Villa. Rowe was one of the breakout stars of last season and his development, along with that of fellow Hale End academy graduate Bukayo Saka, was one of the high points of a disappointing campaign.
The Gunners have no intention of selling him this summer and are instead working on a new contract, with his current deal having two years left to run.
Smith Rowe’s current deal runs until the summer of 2023.
