🌈 Which of these seven stunning Euro 2020 kits is your favourite?

Whether football jerseys are worn as a symbol of collective identity or just a fashion statement, they are integrally important to the supporters who adorn them.

Merchandising is a huge branch of the commercial footballing tree and that's not going to change anytime soon. That's why we see top sports brands wheeling out beautiful new kits, season upon season, to thrill and kit out fanatical supporters around the globe.

Whether they're the iconic colours of legendary teams or strips worn by the new kids on the block, plenty of Euro 2020 jerseys have caught our fancy. Now that we've seen all 24 sides in action, there's been ample opportunity to feast our eyes on the best of the best.

👕 Seven of the finest Euro 2020 kits

1. The Netherlands away

A genuinely stunning piece of sporting apparel. The Oranje is famous for its bright orange kits, and this predominantly black jersey pays respectful homage to that fact with a slick design and button-up detail. Have you seen a bolder football jersey this year?

2. Germany away

A sleek, blacked-out design befitting of the 2014 World Champions, complete with a classy German flag trim. Die Mannschaft has worn their classic white & black pin-striped shirt for both group stage matches to date, but further they progress in the tournament, the likelier we are to see them in this black beauty.

3. Slovakia home

This kit is reminiscent of a few of Marek Hamšík's old camo jerseys that he wore for Napoli, this time in black & blue as opposed to green, of course. The blotchy design is inspired by Slovakia's mountainous regions, and you wouldn't bet against them ascending an almighty peak against Spain on Wednesday to reach the last 16. Stranger things have happened.

4. North Macedonia home

The wacky round edges on the numbers and bold sun motif emblazoned on the front make North Macedonia's Euro 2020 jersey a memorable one. Besides, when next will we see them gracing a major tournament?

5. Poland home

With the eagle crest restored to the heart of this crisp design, Poland's home shirt draws inspiration from old kits of the 1970s and 80s, an era during which they finished third at two World Cups.

6. England home

The 1966 World champions' home strip comfortably qualifies as a classic, almost iconic jersey in its simplicity, and this time the Three Lions badge is placed centrally. With news that Mason Mount is in self-isolation, Jack Grealish's chances of playing a central role against the Czech Republic have been enhanced.

7. Portugal away

Perhaps it's by default that the defending European champions should have a jersey in the "best kits" category, but Cristiano wears it pretty well. This kit is a bright, almost luminescent pale teal drawing inspiration from the team's 2016 away strip, and the chunky horizontal coloured stripes are borrowed directly from Portugal's 2018 training tops.

The Euro 2016 winners face the 2018 World Champions on Wednesday night in a heavyweight shootout for the knockout stages. A Seleção, however, will be donning their traditional red for the occasion.
