Gor Mahia settled for a barren draw with Wazito FC in an FKF Premier League match staged at Thika Stadium on Wednesday.
It was a balanced game at the start, both teams approaching the match with caution to avoid conceding goals early.
There was injury concern for Gor Mahia after barely seven minutes of play as Alpha Onyango went down injury. He could not continue and was subbed off with John Macharia coming in his place.
Wazito had the first clear chance, Charles Owino attempted a shot on target, Gad Mathews was on alert and saved it. Minutes later, Maski went past captain Shakava but Muguna was in right place to make a good challenge and clear it out of danger.
K'Ogalo could have taken the lead in the 28th minute, but their two quick chances went begging. Macharia had the ball before attempting a shot that went off the post and fell back to Ulimwengu but his effort went over the bar.
Mathare United 1-0 AFC Leopards
At Ruaraka Grounds, Mathare United registered their second victory of the season after beating AFC Leopards 1-0.
John Mwangi scored the only goal, minutes to half time to hand Mathare a huge victory.
The first chance came for Leopards, Washington Munene was taken down just outside the box, Austin Odhiambo stepped up but his effort was cleared by Mathare's defence.
Just before halftime, John Mwangi was put through on goal and had only Benjamin Ochan to beat, he cooly finished past the Leopards defence, a goal that separated the two teams after 45 minutes.
Ingwe had the chance to equalize but Rupia's effort hit the post before Tsuma saw his shot punched out for a corner.
