Laliga giants Atletico Madrid are in advance talks with Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.
The reports were confirmed by Udinese sporting director Pasquale Marino who admitted that both clubs have been in talks but nothing had been agreed on just yet.
"Talks with Atletico Madrid are at an advanced stage, but there is still a considerable gap (between offer and demand). There are other clubs interested, the deal is not closed," he continued.
“Atletico is leading the race, but we haven't reached an agreement yet, otherwise the transfer would be official. De Paul is still a Udinese player. He is 27 and it's understandable that he wants to leave, when he will, we will be ready to replace him," Marino told Tutti Convocati via Football Italia.
