According to various sources, Arsenal will soon complete signing Benfica's young left back Nuno Tavares.
Arsenal have agreed to pay £12.8 million for the Portuguese left-back.
The transfer is close to completion, according to Portuguese publication Jornal de Noticias, after Tavares agreed to a five-year contract with the Premier League heavyweights.

Given the high level of interest in Tavares, the signing will be a triumph for Arsenal.
Napoli and Southampton were among the clubs interested in signing the 21-year-old. Tavares is likely to fill in Kieran Tierney's understudy. At 6 ft tall and blessed with lots of pace to burn, he does seem a great signing.
Tavares has featured 14 times in the Primeira Liga and 5 in the Europa League.
