Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour will undergo a medical with Premier League newbies Norwich City on Thursday according to reports from the UK.
The player was part of the Scotland squad in the Euro 2020 and will conclude his 10-day period of self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 while at the tournament.
The move to Norwich has been necessitated by the player's urge to play regular football something that he hasn't been promised by manager Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea however rates the player and doesn't want to sell him permanently with the loan option said to be the only thing they were willing to accept this summer. They want to gauge the player's ability when coming against the best and believe that testing him against Premier League opponents will give them a clue on if to keep the player or not.
The 20-year-old has proven his abilities every time he is given a chance and was man-of-the-match in Scotland's goalless draw with England at Euro 2020.
