Premier League side Bologna has rejected Tottenham's offer for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Tottenham are keen to bolster their defense ahead of the new season and have identified Bologna's defender Tomiyasu. Spurs offered £12.9m (€15m) plus an extra £2.6m (€3m) in add-ons but it is close to the Italian club’s valuation of at least £17.2m (€20m).
Tomiyasu moved to Bologna from the Belgian side Sint-Truiden for €9 million in the summer of 2019 and has impressed with his performances in Serie A over the past two seasons. He has won 23 caps for his national team, scoring one goal.
It is believed that talks remain ongoing over a deal for the defender.
