Leicester City is planning to raid Manchester United over the services of winger Daniel James.
James is expected to play fewer minutes for United following the arrival of Jadon Sancho and having been used sparingly last season, the player is said to be considering his options at the club.
According to Manchester Gazzette (h/t Leicestershire Live), Paul Swinson has revealed that Leicester City holds the edge in the race to land the winger who is attracting interest from other teams too.
James has been at United for two seasons after joining form Swansea City in 2019 and has since made 72 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring nine goals and making nine assists.
With Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, and Amad Diallo also fighting for contention in the same position, James is set to struggle for minutes with the player having been linked with a move to Leeds before.
A loan move is likely to be an option but should that not materialize, the player might be forced to fight for his place in the team just as the players in that position.
Apart from Leeds and Leicester City, the Wales international has also attracted attention from the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The player had a perfect outing with Wales in the Euros with the player creating more chances than any other player at that point in the tournament.
