Lionel Messi has opened up on what it will be like in meeting Neymar in the Copa America final.
Messi will be leading Argentina in the game having ousted Colombia in post-match penalties in the semis with Brazil making it to the final of the competition after seeing off Peru.
Messi and Neymar both played for Barcelona and according to the former, it is a game that they all have been waiting for.
“I know Neymar said it because he’s a good guy, it’s the final we were all waiting for. It’s going to be the final we were all hoping for, it’s going to be very close, very difficult," Messi said as quoted by Marca.
Both Messi and Neymar have shined so far in this edition of Copa America. The Argentine star currently sits as the leader in goal contributions in this tournament with nine, while the Brazilian forward ranks second in this key stat with five.
