According to reports, Leicester City have intensified their pursuit of former Liverpool defender Ozan Kabak.
Following the club's relegation to the 2. Bundesliga, the Schalke 04 center-back could be available for a bargain this summer.
Leicester have already made contact with Kabak's representatives, according to reputable Bundesliga journalist Chris Williams.
Kabak has been widely expected to leave Gelsenkirchen since his loan move to Liverpool was completed.
This summer, the Foxes are expected to make a bid of around £12.8 million (€15 million) to bring him to the Premier League on a permanent basis.
Schalke's relegation last season plunged the club into financial ruin, and the club's top stars will almost certainly be sold as soon as possible.
