There have been developments in talks between Emile Smith Rowe and Arsenal over a new contract.
Rowe's current deal with Arsenal is set to expire in 2023 and manager Mikel Arteta says he '100 percent' the midfielder is staying with the north London club.
Aston Villa are interested in signing Smith and it was reported that Claret and Blue have seen two bids rejected, the latest valued at £30m.
Further reports claim Villa are set to go back in for a third time with a fee in the region of around £3 million, one that would break the club's transfer record set earlier this summer when Emiliano Buendia joined from Norwich City.
