Vipers striker Yunus Sentamu was delighted after winning the Uganda Premier League Golden Boot of the 2020/21 season.
Sentamu had scored 16 goals while proving four assists in the process last season. The striker was deservedly rewarded with a Golden Boot and a Shs1m cash prize.
"I thank Allah, my family, Vipers family, and the technical team for the support. Personally, I remained focused in training sessions because I had it in mind that I would return to competitive football," he told the club's official website.
Sentamu sings special praise for the management of Vipers Sports Club that gave him a second opportunity to serve.
"I thank the management of Vipers Sports Club for the opportunity to play again at this great club. Even when my family members pushed me to sign here and there, I remained put and Vipers offered the chance that I embraced with open hands" he added.
Vipers completed the 2020-21 season in third place with 56 points after 26 matches with four unplayed games due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
