Manchester United's star winger Mason Greenwood has named Fulham's full-back Joe Bryan as the best defender he has ever faced.
Greenwood enjoyed his breakthrough season in the heavy Man United shirt last season aged 19, with 12 goals and six assists in 52 appearances.
The England international had a chat with the club's media, where he was asked to name the best marker he has faced in his career so far.
“I’ve probably got to say, it might be a surprising one, but do you know [Joe] Bryan, the one for Fulham?" Greenwood said on the club's website.
"He allowed me no space, no time on the ball, when we played them home and away. It was one of my most difficult games for us.
“He’s one you probably wouldn’t think I’d say his name, but he was getting tight to me and not giving me much space. He was a good defender and he was probably my toughest challenge," he concluded.
In the meantime, Greenwood is expected to feature in the Red Devils' second preseason friendly against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
