Premier League side Chelsea has agreed personal terms with Sevilla center-back Jules Koundé.
As reported earlier in the day, Chelsea had opened talks with Sevilla over the signing of Koundé, having made the centreback their top defensive target this summer. And now journalist Fabrizio Romano reports the Frenchman has an agreement ready on personal with the Blues and will sign a contract until 2026.
Thomas Tuchel wants to improve his options at the back and the manager, who led his side to Champions League glory last season, believes that Koundé is the right fit. Manchester United have also shown an interest in the defender but Chelsea have made the first move.
Sevilla are in financial difficulties, potentially handing Chelsea an advantage during negotiations.
