Manchester United's manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has broken the silence on capturing a high-profile Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old Frenchman will arrive at Old Trafford as one of the most decorated signings in the club's history, thanks to four UEFA Champions League titles, three Laliga championships, and a FIFA World Cup medal with Les Bleus.
United's manager Solskjaer could not be more chuffed...
“Of course, I’m very happy that we’ve managed to get the deal with Real Madrid,” Ole said via United's media.

“He’s a proven winner and a player we've followed for many, many years. I know Sir Alex was very, very close to signing him and this time around we’ve got him at the other end of his career.
“He’s proved over his whole career what a good person he is, first of all. [He's a] professional and he's won all there is to win," the Norwegian manager concluded.
In the meantime, the Red Devils are preparing for the club's fourth preseason friendly against lower division side Preston North End on Saturday.
