Tusker fail to capitalize on KCB's loss, Ulinzi Stars stage comeback against Vihiga

Tusker failed to capitalize on KCB's loss as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nairobi City Stars in a Kenyan Premier League match staged at Ruaraka Grounds.

It was a brilliant start for City Stars and had the first chance through Nicholas Kipkirui whose attempt on goal was punched for a corner that resulted in nothing.

The visitors were on the attack again, Kipkirui set up David Agesa who surprisingly missed out hitting it on target when he only had the keeper to beat.

In the 30th minute, Davies Agesa had the chance of opening the score as he could not tap in from the six-yard area but he slid and missed the ball. Mieno was in the right position to clear.

In the second half, City Stars opened the scoring through Odera after he was set up by Timothy Ouma.

Vihiga 1-2 Ulinzi Stars

At ASK Grounds Nakuru, Ulinzi Stars came from a goal down to register a 2-1 victory over Vihiga United.

Vihiga, battling to avoid relegation took the lead in the 30th minute through Stewart Omondi.

After pushing for an equalizer, Ulinzi Stars got their leveler through Ibrahim Shambi in the 61st minute.

Minutes later Shambi completed his brace in the 80th minute, and Ulinzi turned this around.

In the stoppage time, Ulinzi were reduced to ten men after Masita Masuta was shown a red card.
