Lille are the French Cup champions after stunning PSG 1-0 on Sunday evening in a match played in Tel Aviv.
Xeka scored the lone goal in the 45th minute, and it proved all-important as Mauricio Pochettino's men failed to find a response.
It was not the best start from the French Cup winners, who wanted to exact revenge on the league champions who dethroned them last season.
Lille had the first opportunity to find the back of the net after just five minutes when Burak Yilmaz released a promising shot from a set-piece towards the right post, but Keylor Navas made a save to deny him.
PSG too had a chance just before the half-hour mark with Julian Draxler unleashing a snapshot from the edge of the area that flew towards the left side of the goal, but Leo Jardim produced a good save to thwart him.
Lille then took the lead just before the break as Xeka controlled the ball with a great first touch just outside the penalty area after receiving a pass and smashed the ball into the roof of the net to give the goalkeeper no chance!
Abdou Diallo then wasted a glorious chance to pull the Parisians level in the 56th minute when he got to a rebound inside the 6-yard box, but his header flew narrowly wide of the right post.
Presnel Kimpembe then thought he had equalised in the 74th minute when he put the ball into the net, but he was flagged for offside.
Jardim then denied Georginio Wijnaldum with a brilliant save deep into injury time, as Lille held on to win and get one over their rivals.
It was a poor start for Pochettino, who is taking charge of the club in his first full season.
The Argentine missed the services of almost all his star players, including Sergio Ramos, Rafinha Alcantara, Colin Dagba, and Juan Bernat, Kylian Mbappe, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Neymar, Marco Verratti, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, and Pablo Sarabia.
