The agents of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez are in England for talks with Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Spaniard has strongly been linked with a move away from Wanda Metropolitano and according to the Mirror, the player wants a new challenge preferably in the Premier League.
Representatives of the 26-year-old have been given the blessing of Atletico Madrid bigwigs to negotiate a move for their man with the club keen to recoup some money they used in buying Argentine Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese.
The reports say that the player's agents are due to jet into England on Monday in a bid to strike a deal to bring the player in England.
While United are the frontrunners for the player's signature, Liverpool is the other team interested in the player as they look to replace Gini Wijnaldum who left them for PSG this summer.
Saul's buyout clause at Atletico Madrid is around £125million but the current La Liga champions know they will get nowhere near that figure in the current market.
Some rumours coming through that a £41 million pound bid for Saul Niguez #transfer to #LFC will be accepted and #LiverpoolFC will get their man. If true, this is great news for us.— Zubin Daver (@zubinofficial) July 28, 2021
Hopefully we will get a 'Here We Go' from @FabrizioRomano regarding this soon? pic.twitter.com/5JIamoz4rg
