News coming out between England, Egypt and South Africa says Percy Tau's former coach Pitso Mosimane wants the attacking midfielder in Cairo with Al Ahly.
Tau was one of Mosimane's prodigies at Mamelodi Sundowns before the 27-year-old made a move to Brighton on a record fee in 2018.
After just one goal in six appearances for the English side, reports claim that Mosimane's Ahly has contacted the Seagulls to sign Tau, as reported by Soccer Laduma.
"According to Siya sources, Brighton are open to offers for Tau, who spent the second half of the season with the Seagulls, making six appearances in all competitions," the outlet reported.
"Furthermore, the crew has been informed that talks between the two clubs has escalated rapidly with indications that an agreement could be reached in the coming days that would see Tau switch the Amex for the Cairo International Stadium," the report added.
Meanwhile, Ahly is also believed to be after another similar little left-footer in Kaizer Chiefs' Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
