Bruno Fernandes: We are growing up as a team

Manchester United are "growing up," according to Bruno Fernandes, with the Red Devils kicking off their 2021-22 Premier League season with a bang.

Mason Greenwood, Fred, and Fernandes scored for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team in a 5-1 victory over Leeds United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

In a terrific performance, Fernandes scored three goals, and the Portugal international has pledged to keep improving as he seeks to improve on what he has already accomplished at the club.

Man United are now 'growing up as a team,' according to the attacker, and are ready to fight for major titles after a difficult period.

"My objective every season is being better than the last one. Every performance I do, I want to do better and better. I've started with three goals but it's a long way [to go]," Fernandes told BT Sport.

"We know the quality of the players who have come in, but the team was already very good. We showed it last season. We didn't win trophies, but the team was growing up. Our focus has to be game by game. We'll achieve something with this mentality."
