English giants Manchester United are interested in signing Monaco defensive midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
While the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side has got Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho this summer, there has been a call by the club fans for the club to sign a defensive midfielder and it seems that they have been heard.
Reports by Belgian footballing expert Sacha Tavolieri via Stretty News reveal that United could make a formal approach for the 21-year-old before the summer transfer window shuts on August 31.
Tchouameni only joined Monaco 18-months ago after making the switch from domestic rivals Bordeaux in a deal worth £16.2m but has gone to make 50 appearances for the senior team in all competitions.
Although the 21-year-old is primarily a holding midfielder, he has managed to rack up four goals and four assists since joining the club in January 2020.
