Cristiano Ronaldo has been questioned for lacking a bit of class in terms of the way he left the mighty Juventus.
As the events of that day went, Ronaldo's agent had a meeting with the club while the team prepared to have a training session, and just while a team talk was taking, the 36-year-old Ronaldo was on his feet heading for a private jet to leave the club.
According to the club's former star Alessio Tacchinardi, the Portuguese star's actions were somewhat ungentlemanly...
"Ronaldo should have left in a different way, not on his private jet while [Massimiliano] Allegri was talking to the team before the game against Empoli. I expected a press conference to say goodbye to the fans. They deserved something different," he told Tuttosport.
The former defensive midfielder concluded to suggest that Ronaldo basically left Juventus in a lurch.
"There are no more legends such as [Alessandro] Del Piero, [Francesco] Totti, [Paolo] Maldini or [Javier] Zanetti, but it wasn’t nice to hear from Ronaldo that he was going back to a place he feels like home.
"He put Juventus in a difficult situation, leaving a few days before the end of the transfer window, it is impossible to replace a goal machine like him," Tacchinardi concluded.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is set to make his second Manchester United debut against Newcastle United after the FIFA break.
