Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a positive update on Edinson Cavani, who is recovering from a knock he picked during the international break.
According to the manager, who spoke during Monday's pre-match conference, the striker is edging closer to a return to full fitness, even though no exact timeline has been mentioned.
"He had a slight strain during the international week after the in-house game we played," explained Ole.
"He is hopefully back with us soon. He's working hard to get back."
The Uruguayan was not part of the traveling contingent for Man United's Champions League opener away at Young Boys.
Ole named a 22-man squad for the match, which is set for Tuesday evening.
De Gea, Heaton, Kovar; Bailly, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Varane, Wan-Bissaka; Fernandes, Fred, Lingard, Mata, Matic, Pogba, Sancho, van de Beek; Elanga, Greenwood, Martial, Ronaldo.
United are in Group F alongside the Swiss club, Atalanta and Europa League champions Villarreal.
