Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has assured his fans he is likely to begin training with the Gunners.
As Futaa reported several weeks ago, Wilshere has been in a desperate search to find a new club since leaving Bournemouth last season.
Mikel Arteta has since revealed to the media that the door is open for Wilshere to come and show what he still has as a footballer.
“He is someone that I know who I shared the dressing room with, someone who is so loved around the club with every person here and our doors are always open,” Arteta said.
The 29-year-old Wilshere has received the message and says he is expecting to begin talks with Arsenal in the looming days.
"I spent the majority of my life in that club, I gave a lot to that club,” the Englishman told SkySports.
"To hear the manager - who I played with, who I had a good relationship with, I really enjoyed playing with him, sharing the dressing room with him - to hear him come out and say the door is always open is nice.
Asked if he will accept Arteta’s invite, Jack said:
"It can only help me. Being around good players, training with world-class players and as well just being in a team environment is something I'm interested in.
"I'm sure that I'll have a conversation with someone at the club over the next couple of days,” he concluded.
In the meantime, Arsenal are training to take on Burnley in the English Premier League this weekend.
