✅ Over 2.5 goals in Leicester City vs Napoli
🏟 Monaco vs Sturm Graz
Monaco finds themselves in the group stages of the UEFA Europa League after conceding a catastrophic own goal during ET at Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of the Champions League playoffs. Niko Kovac’s men should take encouragement from the fact they’ve won their last two home European matches against Austrian opposition, both by a 4+ goal margin. Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder has scored eight goals across as many career games in the UEL proper and will be their main danger man here on matchday 1.
🏟 Galatasaray vs Lazio
Home form may be key to Galatasaray defying their status as Group E’s bottom seeds and progressing, with the Istanbul team never failing to score in a UEL home game (W7, D6, L2). That aside, they’ll be further buoyed by their opponents’ three-game winless history in UEL trips to Turkey (D2, L1). Lazio is looking to end their shocking current run of five successive UEL away defeats. If they do, then it could be thanks to a feast of goals, with the Biancocelesti scoring twice or more in every one of their 15 previous UEL / UEFA Cup away wins this century. Incredibly, none of Lazio’s last 17 UEL fixtures have ended level.
🏟 Dinamo Zagreb vs West Ham
Although this is the first fixture between these two sides, Dinamo is no stranger to English teams, having played such opposition on 17 previous occasions in Europe (W3, D3, L11). That poor record aside, their last fixture was against Tottenham, who they beat 3-2 on aggregate in extra-time in last season’s UEL Round of 16 after overcoming a 2-0 first-leg deficit. West Ham have only lost once in the last 19 games when opening the scoring in all competitions (W16, D2) so the first goal could be critical here.
🏟 Leicester City vs Napoli
Leicester is a difficult side to get a read on in terms of overall consistency. At best, they're erratic at home but the Foxes should start robustly here considering that all three of their UEL group stage home fixtures last term (W3) saw them score exactly twice inside the first hour. One of three sides with a 100% record in Serie A this season, Group C top seeds Napoli, seek a first major European trophy since 1989 and they're one of the hot favorites to go all the way in 2021-22.
